Visitor Information


Visitors or patients are not permitted to bring alcohol into the hospital. Alcohol can have significant adverse effects when combined with medications.


A patient’s diet whilst they are in hospital is related to their clinical condition and/or their stage of recovery, it is aimed to aid their path to a full recovery. For this reason any food brought by visitors should only be consumed in consultation with nursing staff.


Ringwood Private Hospital is smoke free.

Our multi-storey car park provides extended parking facilities close to all hospital services.

There are five-minute drop off parks at the front of the hospital for your convenience.

The nearest train station (Ringwood East) is situated on the Lilydale line at Ringwood East, approximately one kilometre from the hospital.

Reception staff will arrange taxi if required.

Visiting hours

Visitors are welcome seven days a week during the times listed below:

Monday to Sunday

3.00pm to 5.00pm and 7.00pm to 8.30pm

Rest hour for all patients is from 1.30pm to 3.00pm daily.

Please note that patients cannot receive telephone calls or visitors during this time.

Out of hours visiting can be arranged with the nursing staff.

Children under 12 should be accompanied by an adult when visiting the hospital.

Visitors may be required to follow certain procedures, depending on the condition of the patient. The nursing staff will provide specific instructions for visiting these patients.

Reception hours

8.00am to 8.00pm from Monday to Sunday

Reception staff can be reached on extension 4000 during these hours.

Consulting Suites reception hours

8.00am to 6.00pm from Monday to Friday

Closed on weekends and public holidays
